Dr Prasad first completed her undergraduate training at the Oxford University before starting her Cardiology training in 2006, training in many different aspects in Cardiology with a specific focus on the Cardiac Device Therapy (pacemakers, complex device therapy for heart failure and abnormal heart rhythms) at the Royal Papworth Hospital and Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
Between 2012 and 2013 she completed a Fellowship at the Tertiary Cardiac Centre in Morriston Hospital, gaining a wealth of experience in advanced rhythm management and cardiac device therapy. She was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2013, developing the Heart Failure and pacing service over the next four years. In 2017, she was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at the Kettering General Hospital where she is the Lead Cardiologist for the Heart Failure service, practising in cardiac device therapy and general cardiac problems such as chest pain, breathlessness, palpitations and heart valve disease.
Dr Prasad continues to maintain a keen interest in advanced novel techniques for cardiac pacing and device therapy, tailoring therapy specifically to the patient to provide the best symptomatic and longevity outcomes.
