About Dr Michael Feher
Dr Feher speciality practice covers Lipids and Lipid disorders, Cardiovascular Risk factors and Diabetes. Dr Feher is Consultant Physician at Wellington Hospital, London and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London. He was previously clinical lead for lipid, diabetes, and hypertension service at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London. He has been Visiting Professor, University of Surrey and is senior research fellow, Informatics and Health Outcomes Research Group, University of Oxford, UK. Dr Feher has developed several unique specialist services including lipid clinics in adults and family lipids (joint with paediatrics), new diabetes therapies, liaison-psychiatry-diabetes, insulin pump and diabetic hypertension. Previous appointments include diabetes assessor to London Metropolitan/Home County Police and diabetes adviser to British National Formulary. National/International committees include: NICE Committees for statins and type 2 diabetes, European Medicine Agency diabetes representative and DVLA panel for driving diabetes. Over the past twenty-five years Dr Feher has had extensive clinical experience in the fields of lipids, diabetes, hypertension. and metabolic risk factors. He has combined clinical pharmacology, pharmaco-epidemiology and laboratory-based research with diabetes clinical care and teaching. He has published extensively in fields of lipids and lipid disorders, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular risk factors and clinical pharmacology, with over 150 publications and 8 books in diabetes and cardiovascular medicine.
