About Dr Krishna Soondrum
Dr Krishna Soondrum is a consultant paediatric gastroenterologist based in London. He has over 25 years of experience treating children and adolescents with digestive system disorders. His areas of expertise include abdominal pain, coeliac disease (an autoimmune condition triggered by gluten), acid reflux, diarrhoea, and feeding difficulties. He also specialises in advanced diagnostic techniques like endoscopy (using a camera to examine the digestive tract) and intestinal rehabilitation for children with complex gut conditions. After qualifying as a doctor at the University of Hamburg in 1999, Dr Soondrum completed his paediatric training at leading UK hospitals, including Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. He also holds an MSc in Clinical Paediatrics from University College London and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Dr Soondrum leads the intestinal rehabilitation service for North West London and is the departmental lead for paediatric endoscopy at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He is actively involved in shaping national medical guidelines and is a member of key professional organisations like the British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
