About Mr Jonathan Miles
Mr Jonathan Miles is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at The Wellington Hospital. He specialises in knee and hip surgery, including partial and total knee replacement, total hip replacement, revision knee and revision hip replacement. He performs most of his surgeries robotically to achieve the greatest possible balance and alignment of the joint, while minimising tissue damage. This gives the best return to function for patients. He is one of the highest volume revision joint surgeons in the country and regularly sees second opinion and complex surgery cases. Mr Miles also treats knee sports injuries for patients of all sports and uses minimally invasive techniques to minimise recovery time. He is one of the UK's leading surgeons in cartilage repair, as well as having a wealth of experience in meniscal surgery and ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) surgery. He carries out his NHS work at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London. His interest in research has resulted in the publication of more than 100 scientific papers and articles. He is involved at NHS England level in how revision joint surgery is provided and participates in health management, teaching and implant development studies.
