In 2000 he began Cardiology training and began specialist training in interventional coronary cardiology at St Bartholomew's, The London Chest and The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. In 2008 he completed his training and became a consultant cardiologist at Southend Hospital and The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.

Alongside his clinical experience and education, Dr Davies has received the award, honours in medicine and clinical pharmacology and therapeutics (Guy's Hospital Medical School, 1997). He has also conducted talks about stable angina, acute coronary syndrome, atrial fibrillation, heart failure and hypertension utilising his expertise and experience. He is also a member of The British Cardiovascular Society and a member of The British Cardiovascular Interventional Society.
