About Dr Daniel Kaitiff
Dr Daniel Kaitiff is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who works with his clients for better outcomes. He has worked in a number of areas within his specialty including General Adult, Older adult, liaison Psychiatry and forensics. He works in the North West, Manchester and also teleconferencing for London clients. Dr Kaitiff is very much aware of the difficulty patients have with accepting they have a mental health condition and then seeking support. His approach is to work with clients to explore the different options so that they can regain their lifestyle. Dr Kaitiff completed his medical degree at the University of Liverpool in 2002 and then trained at CNWL/Imperial University London. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatry and is section 12 approved. Further to this he previously has experience of working in Research within phase 1 and 2 clinical trials and is currently investigating new pathways for the treatment of autism and addictions. Dr Kaitiff has over 15 years' experience as a General and Older Adult Psychiatrist. He is an excellent facilitator of information, assessment and diagnosis, and offers a range of treatment options for his patients, including both pharmaceutical and therapeutic support. Dr Kaitiff offers assessment, treatment and medication reviews for all his patients as required, and has developed his training in a range of therapeutic treatments; Systematic Family Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Knowledge & Understanding Framework for Personality Disorders. Dr Kaitiff is an advocate for the understanding of mental health, believing medical conditions are often long-lasting, and the goal of successful treatment is for an individual to be autonomous throughout their life and not require considerable health input. Dr Kaitiff has treated complex cases in a varied number of mental health areas and believes there is a positive solution for all patients. He has expertise in the following areas; Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, schizophrenia, Stress, Personality Disorders, Cyclothymia, Dementia and Grief. He has completed courses in leadership, family therapy and psychotherapy, and it is his vision and aim to provide patients and their families with enhanced levels of care, combining medical treatment with other treatment approaches, as well as equipping families with the tools necessary to fully understand the nature of the diagnosis.
