About Mr Dominic Douglas
Mr. Dominic Douglas is an experienced and accredited psychotherapist with a background in various therapeutic settings. With a Master of Science in Psychotherapy and Counselling, he is an MBACP Accredited Psychotherapist and a member of the UKRCP, the register for Independent Counsellors and Psychotherapists. Dominic's extensive career spans hospice care, youth work, addressing work-related issues, and providing support to male and female survivors of rape and sexual abuse. Dominic holds a Bachelor of Philosophy, a Master's in Theology, and a Master's in Counselling and Psychotherapy. He has also undertaken specialised training in couples and family work, working with young people, supporting clients who self-harm, and completing ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training). Throughout his career, Dominic has committed to ongoing professional development to enhance his understanding of himself and his work with clients. He offers supervision to fellow counsellors and trainees, drawing from his extensive experience within the NHS, Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), and the private sector. Dominic has a particular interest in the interface of therapy and spirituality, and he has dedicated much of his work to supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse and their families. His experience in large institutions in both the public and private sectors has given him a deep understanding of the dynamics, challenges, and pressures that can prompt individuals to seek help during the most difficult periods of their lives.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
