Dr Petsas has worked across a wide range of healthcare systems and clinical settings, including hospitals in Greece, Germany, the UK (Peterborough City Hospital), and the UAE. He has extensive experience in multiple specialties such as General Surgery, ENT, Bariatrics, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, and Cardiac/Thoracic Surgery. 
His clinical and research interests focus on ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia and orthopaedic surgery. He has published on regional techniques, including the first reported case of an erector spinae plane block in Greece, and has spoken internationally on chronic postsurgical pain.
