About Dr De Wayne Neptune
Dr De Wayne Neptune is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with experience in both paediatric and adult lower limb surgery. His clinical work includes primary and complex joint replacement procedures of the hip, knee, foot and ankle, as well as limb lengthening, reconstruction and deformity correction. He has particular expertise in trauma and fracture management, sports-related injuries and advanced joint reconstruction. Dr Neptune holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from St George’s University London and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biomedical Sciences from Liverpool John Moores University. He completed his orthopaedic specialist training through the Southside Sydney Training Program of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS Orthopaedics). This comprehensive training provided a strong foundation in orthopaedic trauma, sports injuries and joint replacement surgery across a wide range of complex conditions. Following his specialist qualification, Dr Neptune further developed his expertise through several international fellowships. These included paediatric orthopaedic surgery at Shriners Children’s Hospital in Portland, knee surgery training in Bristol, foot and ankle surgery in Basel, hip surgery in Fribourg, and advanced limb lengthening and deformity correction training in Cape Town and Columbus, Ohio. Dr Neptune remains committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends international conferences and specialist courses to remain at the forefront of orthopaedic innovation. He has also undertaken volunteer surgical work across South America, Africa and Asia. Known for his compassionate and patient-focused approach, he aims to combine advanced surgical techniques with thoughtful, personalised care to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.
