About
Mr Payne holds a BSc with Honours and completed his medical degree (MB ChB), later earning an MD with Honours. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology (FRCS Urology) and a Fellow of the European Board of Urology, reflecting his advanced specialist training and professional recognition within the field.
He serves as Consultant Urological Surgeon at Kettering General Hospital, where he also holds key leadership roles as Clinical Lead for Urology and Surgical Clinical Director. In these positions he contributes to the development and delivery of urological services while supporting high standards of clinical care and patient safety.
Mr Payne has a strong interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopy and endourology. These approaches allow many urological conditions to be treated with smaller incisions, reduced hospital stays and faster recovery times. Through his clinical practice, he aims to provide effective, modern treatment options tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
