About Dr David Owen
Dr David Owen is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. Dr Owen attended school in Gippsland and then went on to study Engineering and Science at The University of Melbourne. He then completed his medical degree at the Australian National University. Following this, he completed further training in Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma. Dr Owen is currently completing a PhD in Orthopaedics, focusing on wrist surgery. Dr Owen is interested in how technology can be applied to surgery to improve patient outcomes. He has undertaken further training in robotic-assisted joint replacement. He also performs hip replacements using the anterior approach.
