About

Mr Cash qualified from Birmingham University in 2000 and went on to complete his basic and then higher surgical training on the Cambridge Rotation, passing his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons examinations in 2012.

In 2013 he spent a year at the world renowned Centre for Hip Surgery at Wrightington Hospital, gaining experience in complex hip and knee replacement techinques.

He was appointed to York Hospital in 2014 as a lower limb arthroplasty surgeon performing primary (first time) and revision hip and knee replacement surgery as well as knee arthroscopic (key hole) surgery.

Over the past 10 years, Mr Cash has developed interest in enhanced recovery and rapid discharge following joint replacement surgery, with around 50 patients having been discharged on the same day of surgery .

Outside of surgery, Mr Cash is a keen walker (and list ticker) and has completed the 282 Munros in Scotland and the 214 Wainwrights in the Lake District.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
