About
She has experience in the diagnosis and management of drug allergies, including both immediate and delayed reactions, and undertakes drug desensitisation programmes for antibiotics, chemotherapy agents and aspirin. Her work also includes the assessment of perioperative anaphylaxis.
Dr Roa is involved in the diagnosis and management of food allergy, including oral immunotherapy, and provides allergen immunotherapy for pollen and house dust mite allergy using both sublingual and subcutaneous approaches.
She completed her specialist training in allergology in Madrid, Spain, at a tertiary allergy centre, before relocating to England in 2019. She has worked as a consultant allergist since 2021 and has previously held consultant posts at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Frimley Park Hospital.
