About Dr Daniel Bothma
Dr Daniel Bothma is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Dermatology and specialist general practitioner. He is a certified Fellow of the Skin Cancer Institute, and holds membership of the International Society of Dermatology, the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, the International Dermoscopy Society, and the International Association of Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine. His areas of expertise include skin cancer management, including non-surgical therapies and advanced skin surgery. He has a strong focus on preventative management of pre-cancerous skin lesions. Some of his special interests include acne and acne scarring, rosacea, and rashes. Dr Bothma has held clinical teaching positions and presented at a number of conferences. His research has focused on comparing different treatment modalities for photo-aging induced skin lesions. Dr Bothma's training includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology (with distinction), a Master of Science in Clinical Dermatology (with distinction), and the Fellowship of the Australian Institute of Dermatology. He has, advanced certification in dermoscopy and a diploma in skin cancer surgery, including advanced reconstruction techniques such as flaps and grafts. They are also trained in injectables and cosmetic skin therapies.
