Dr Colin Dicks
Oncology
About
Dr Dicks treats a broad spectrum of skin conditions, including Bowen’s disease, basal cell carcinoma (BCC), squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis (DSAP), and field cancerisation caused by chronic sun damage. His work offers an important alternative for patients seeking gentle yet clinically proven treatment options.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Pretoria in 1990 and completed a Master of Medicine in Radiation Oncology in 1998. He later achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2001, alongside a Master of Science in Palliative Medicine from Cardiff University.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr Dicks is a strong advocate for improving death literacy and is the author of Death, Dying and Donuts, addressing gaps in public understanding around end-of-life care.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
