About
Dr Jacques is highly experienced and has been working with mental health problems for over a decade. She is registered with the British Psychological Society and completed her doctorate of counselling psychology at City University in 2018. Throughout her career, she has worked for renowned organisations such as the NHS, MIND, Crisis, and Priory.
Dr Jacques is an expert in dealing with a variety of issues, such as: addiction to substances and behaviours, gender identity, sexuality, personality disorders, depression, generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic attacks, stress, low self-esteem, eating disorders, codependency, family and relationship issues, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma problems, and symptoms of psychosis.
Her therapeutic approach is based on empowering clients and helping them to build on and improve their existing personal resources. She is a friendly and compassionate therapist who works collaboratively with clients to support them in their recovery journey. As someone who has previously received similar services, Dr Jacques understands the everyday issues that clients may face as they work towards overcoming their problems from a non-judgmental perspective. Her ability to form strong relationships with clients is also enhanced by her understanding of different cultural perspectives.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
