Dr Claire Bassilious completed her undergraduate medical degree at The Guy’s & St Thomas’s and King’s College London Medical School, graduating in 2003. She went on to begin her medical career working as a junior doctor in various London hospitals, gaining a wealth of experience. She trained to become a GP in Kent.

Over the past 15 years, Dr Bassilious has gained extensive expertise while working in a diverse and culturally rich NHS practice in Soho, London, which serves a large part of the LBGTQ community. In 2021, she started to practice as a Private GP. She has worked on Harley Street and her Soho patients & colleagues hold her in high regard, appreciating her compassionate approach to healthcare.

Dr Bassilious has a wide range of experience covering general medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, accident & emergency and respiratory medicine. She has an interest in preventative medicine, health optimisation, wellness, mindfulness and nutrition.

Outside of her busy work in general practice, Dr Bassilious enjoys swimming and cycling with her children. She frequently travels abroad with her family as she enjoys experiencing different cultures and places. She loves incorporating yoga and mindfulness into her daily regime.

Dr. Bassilious is passionate about the implementation preventative health medicine and has a special interest in management of mental health concerns. In her practice she focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, and evidence-based lifestyle changes for disease reversal; helping her patients to live healthy lives.
