He was the previous department head in Upper GI Surgery at Bankstown Hospital and served as the GSA/RACS hospital training supervisor on the NSW committee. He has served on the board of the ANZHPBA and is a member of ANZGOSA, ANZMOSS, GSA and the AMA.
A/Prof. Apostolou is a highly-skilled, fully accredited robotic surgeon and robotic upper GI surgery proctor, having commenced his robotic “journey” at the Yonsei University, Severance Hospital, Seoul South Korea in 2015. He is a member of the Sydney Adventist Hospital’s Robotic Steering Committee and an ongoing strong contributor to the robotic surgery program at the San.
