With a career spanning over two decades, Dr Wainwright has worked in orthopaedics across 30 hospitals in three countries, gaining valuable experience in diverse healthcare systems. Having dedicated over 10 years to practicing in Australia, initially in New South Wales, he has spent the last four years establishing a thriving practice in Mackay.
Dr Wainwright has specific interests in shoulder, hip, and knee conditions. He also has expertise in hand and wrist issues, joint replacement, and surgery for sports-related soft tissue tendon and ligament injuries. Additionally, he holds a keen interest in treating inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and gout.
Committed to providing cutting-edge care, Dr Wainwright utilises the latest advancements in digital surgery. He employs Stryker’s MAKO SmartRobotics for procedures like hip and knee partial knee replacement, total knee replacement, and total hip replacement.
