Dr Bhuwan Roy
Psychiatry
About
Throughout his career, Dr Roy has worked within several respected NHS organisations, including South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and Kent & Medway NHS, before taking up his current position as Associate Clinical Director at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. Alongside his NHS commitments, he runs a private practice at the Brain Health Clinic in London, where he offers comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment.
His clinical expertise covers a wide spectrum of mental health conditions, with particular experience in adult ADHD, substance use disorders, neuropsychiatric illnesses, and complex presentations involving forensic or learning disability components. Dr Roy takes an integrated and highly personalised approach to care, combining tailored medication management with evidence-based psychotherapies such as Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Beyond clinical work, Dr Roy has contributed to academic research, including case reports on rare psychiatric conditions, and plays an active role in medical education. He mentors junior doctors, participates in service development, and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance mental health care pathways.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
