About
He treats a wide range of conditions including carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, Dupuytren’s disease, painful arthritis in the wrist, thumb and finger joints, as well as post injury complications and lumps or bumps affecting the hand and wrist. He carries out procedures such as carpal tunnel decompression, cubital tunnel decompression, Dupuytren’s contracture release, finger joint replacements or fusions, hand and wrist ganglion excision, trapeziectomy for basal thumb arthritis and steroid injections for hand and wrist conditions.
Mr Das graduated with distinction in clinical sciences from Imperial College London in 2008. He completed his postgraduate foundation and core surgical training in London and Cambridge before undertaking higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the East Midlands Nottingham Rotation. During his training he visited internationally recognised hand units including the Harvard Hand Service in the USA and the Ganga Hand Department in India. He completed his higher specialist training with an advanced orthoplastic hand fellowship.
He is a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and regularly participates in professional meetings and conferences. He is also an Assigned Educational Supervisor for surgical trainees at the Nottingham Hand Unit.
