Mr Anthony Hall is a specialist ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience in the field. He consults with Eye Surgery Associates which holds clinics in Malvern and East Melbourne. He then undertook a fellowship in uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2000. He has since served on the Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology editorial board and is an associate professor at Monash University. Dr Hall has also spent time carrying out aid work in Kirabati, Tonga, and Vanuatu.
Dr Hall has a passion for medical education and teaches and mentors trainee doctors and optometry students. He is also an active researcher and has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals such as the Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology journal and the Ocular Immunology and Inflammation journal. His current research topics are infective and inflammatory eye disease, medical retinal disease, and eye surgery.
Dr Hall believes in trying to understand the root cause of a patient's symptoms and treating conditions in a manner that is effective and as easy as possible for the patient to manage.
