About Dr Andrew Ming
Dr Ming is a paediatrician and adult and pediatric dermatologist at the Skin Hospital. He is also a Visiting Medical Officer at The Children's Hospital, Westmead and holds a weekly paediatric dermatology outpatient clinic there. His areas of interest are adult and paediatric dermatology and skin cancer management. Dr Ming graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales in 1997 before completing an internship at St George Hospital. Kogarah. He then undertook specialist paediatric training at The Children's Hospital, Westmead, where he spent time as a Paediatric Registrar. He gained his Diploma of Child Health before continuing to train in London, before returning to Australia to complete his Paediatrician training and becoming a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Dr Ming subsequently sought more specialised dermatology training at a number of hospitals, earning a fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He then went on to complete a 12-month fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology at The Children's Hospital University of Colorado where he gained expertise in the diagnosis and management of genetic skin diseases, birthmarks, surgery, and laser treatments. Dr Ming has had a number of studies published in peer-reviewed journals, both nationally and internationally and is actively involved in teaching medical students, general practitioners, and dermatology trainees. He is also invited to speak at medical conferences in Australia and overseas.
