Dr Alexandra Moorhouse graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2014 with a medical degree and a BSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine. She completed her GP training in Bristol, working as a GP in the city before moving to South Australia, where she gained her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). Since returning to the UK, she has worked in both Emergency Medicine and Primary Care, including routine and urgent care settings.
Alexandra is currently a GP working within the Practice Plus Group at both Emersons Green and Shepton Mallet hospitals. She has also held GP roles across the South West and also works as an NHS urgent care GP in Bristol. She has completed a certificate in Medical Education at the University of Bristol and has been involved in training medical students in primary care.
Her clinical interests span the breadth of general practice, with a particular focus on musculoskeletal medicine. In addition to her BSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine, she holds a Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine and is a diplomate member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine.
Outside of medicine, Alexandra is a keen sports enthusiast and enjoys participating in a variety of sports. She is also a dedicated supporter of Bristol Rugby Club.
