Dr. med. Alexandra Borchert ist Fachärztin für Neurologie und spezialisiert auf Erkrankungen peripherer Nerven sowie den hochauflösenden Nerven- und Muskelultraschall. Sie verfügt über mehr als 15 Jahre klinische Erfahrung und war viele Jahre am Universitätsklinikum Münster tätig, bevor sie als Oberärztin am Auguste-Viktoria-Klinikum in Berlin arbeitete. Dort leitete sie unter anderem das elektrophysiologische Labor, die Wirbelsäulenkonferenz und betreute Patient:innen mit Multipler Sklerose sowie weiteren neurologischen Erkrankungen in Spezialambulanzen und der Tagesklinik. Seit 2019 widmet sie sich der ambulanten neurologischen Versorgung in Aachen, wobei sie ihre besondere Expertise in der Elektrophysiologie und im neuromuskulären Ultraschall einbringt. Seit März 2023 ist sie außerdem wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in der Neurologie des Universitätsklinikums Düsseldorf und als Ausbilderin für neuromuskulären Ultraschall tätig. Darüber hinaus ist sie in der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit aktiv, veröffentlicht regelmäßig, ist Reviewer internationaler Fachzeitschriften und nimmt an internationalen Fallkonferenzen teil.
