Dr Abbie Laing
General Practice (GP)
About
Driven by her interest in women's health, she initially worked in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, gaining experience both overseas in Perth, Western Australia, and in the UK. Subsequently, she pursued further training in General Practice and completed the Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health, along with earning the Advanced Menopause Specialist certificate from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.
During her GP training, Dr. Abbie received the Southampton Richard Percival MRCGP excellence award. In addition to her role at My Menopause Centre, she also contributes her expertise to an NHS menopause centre; helping women navigate this difficult period in their life.
Dr. Abbie approaches each consultation with enthusiasm, engaging in meaningful conversations with her patients about their unique journeys and involving them in decision-making. Her primary goal is to empower women to have a positive experience during their menopause transition and make informed choices regarding their health and well-being.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
