Mr Anestis Iossifidis trained at the University of Montpelier, France, for his medical degree. After his specialist training in upper limb surgery, he sub-specialised and did fellowship training, which took him through the South-East of England including London, as well as travelling internationally to New York. He felt that this was an important opportunity to further consolidate and enhance his international background and coordinate the different aspects of shoulder surgery allowing him to be a specialist in this area.
Mr Iossifidis is well recognised in the international scientific literature as well as locally where he is involved heavily with teaching and training. As a Consultant Shoulder surgeon since 1997 in Croydon, he developed a shoulder surgical practice and introduced arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder surgery. Most of his shoulder surgery has been performed in day surgery since 2005.
