Western Private Hospital in Footscray is the longest serving private hospital in Western Melbourne. The hospital is standalone, independently owned and committed to delivering excellent quality and safe care to the community.
After undergoing a modern multi-million dollar refurbishment in 2015, Western Private Hospital is now a 68 bed facility with a Coronary Care Unit, an Interventional Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Specialist Consulting Suites, a Pathology Laboratory, an on-site Pharmacy and an advanced PET/CT Scanner. The hospital also has a Day Procedure Unit, Surgical Services Unit, Day Oncology Unit, state-of-the-art Operating Theatres and a Central Sterilisation Services Department. Western Private Hospital was the first hospital in the region to provide radiotherapy and MRI services and is the only hospital in Western Metropolitan Melbourne with a PET scanning facility.
Western Private Hospital is home to highly experienced specialists with expertise across all medical disciplines, including general internal medicine, general surgery, urology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, dentistry and plastic surgery.
