Manchester Royal Infirmary - PPU is a dedicated unit within the Manchester Royal Infirmary, specializing in the care of patients with complex medical needs. The unit provides a range of services, including:
- Intensive care: For critically ill patients requiring advanced life support.
- High dependency care: For patients who are not critically ill but require close monitoring and support.
- Respiratory care: For patients with breathing difficulties.
- Renal care: For patients with kidney problems.
- Neurological care: For patients with neurological conditions.
- Palliative care: For patients with life-limiting illnesses.
The PPU team consists of highly skilled and experienced healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists. They work closely with patients and their families to provide individualised care and support.
The PPU is located on the 7th floor of the Manchester Royal Infirmary. Visiting hours are from 2 pm to 8 pm daily.
