Diverse Minds Clinic is a private psychiatric clinic based at 10 Harley Street in London. The clinic provides specialist psychiatric services for adults with neurodevelopmental conditions and general mental health concerns. Services offered include ADHD assessments and treatment, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) assessments, general adult psychiatry appointments, follow-up consultations, medication management, repeat prescriptions, and medico-legal work. Consultations are available by appointment only and are offered in person and via video.
The clinic is led by Dr Alessandra (Alex) Cappai, Consultant in General Adult and Forensic Psychiatry. Dr Cappai has over 20 years of professional experience and has specialist expertise in neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly ADHD. She is employed by the NHS as a Consultant Psychiatrist within the Barnet ADHD Service. Her clinical work includes extensive experience in multidisciplinary team settings, where she has led and managed clinical teams across NHS services.
Within the NHS, Dr Cappai has been actively involved in improving existing care pathways and developing new ones, including ADHD and ASD care pathways within Surrey prisons. She has led quality improvement projects and has a specific interest in medical research. Her work has resulted in multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international conferences. Her research covers areas including ADHD, autism, substance misuse, mood disorders, forensic psychiatry, and the interaction between physical and mental health.
