Cheryl Mackie is a trichologist based in Essex and London, UK. Cheryl studied hairdressing at the prestigious London College of Fashion, finishing 6th in her year and competing in the Student of the Year competition.  Following her studies, she began training at a salon in Brentwood, focusing on Biosthetiques and specialising in hair reconstruction treatments on damaged and inadequately conditioned hair.
In 2010, after employment with cosmetics giant Estee Lauder, Cheryl became Counter Manager with the company Sisley, whose skin care philosophy was similar to that of La Biosthetiques, utilizing the use of essential oils, vitamins, and plant extracts. Following this, Cheryl returned to the salon in Brentwood to further her career by learning new treatments for hair loss, scalp and thinning hair problems, together with skin care. She took a course taught by Societe Francaise de Biosthetique, enabling her to blend various lotion applications for use on skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, acne, and sensitive skin complaints.  The course also included the use of Microscopy, a system for analysing hair problems using a polarised microscope.  This technique enables the detection of any problems with the patient's hormones, vitamin and mineral deficiencies and stress related hair problems such as hair loss.  Using this tool enabled Cheryl to detect problem and achieve positive results in a very short period of time.
Cheryl is a British Complementary Medicine Practitioner, focusing on the use of complementary healing systems rather than using harsh chemicals, as some other practitioners do.
For the past 4 years, Cheryl has concentrated on her education in Trichology, a branch of dermatology that deals with the scientific study of the health of hair and scalp. She practices in Brentwood, Colchester, and London, treating hair and scalp conditions as well as giving skin care advice. Using her vast knowledge and great skill, Cheryl can get your hair on the natural road of recovery, producing results quickly.
