Loyd House is a Neurological Rehabilitation Centre based in Northampton, that provides post-acute rehabilitation as well as the management of long-term neurological conditions. The highly skilled team aim to develop evidence-based, person-centred rehabilitation care plans in order to increase an individual's independence and well-being. Loyd House places particular emphasis on therapy and care to improve quality of life and supports a number of conditions including brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, progressive neurological conditions, Huntington's disease, and functional neurological disorders. Residents have access to a multi-disciplinary team including a rehabilitation consultant, a neuropsychologist, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and experienced rehabilitation and therapy assistants.
Loyd House offers 17 ensuite bedrooms with four of the rooms forming the transitional living unit for more independent living. Residents also have use of a therapy gym and a therapy room. Ground floor rooms are modified for those requiring larger therapy equipment such as larger tilt and space wheelchairs, and there is also a sunken platform lift for accessibility.
The centre is conveniently located close to local shops and parks which enables service users to easily access a range of educational, social, and recreational activities. Loyd House also offers a pathway to Abington View which is a supported living residence (females only) for those who are able to live more independently.
