About Dr Yee Pei Song
Dr. Yee Pei Song is a Consultant in Clinical Oncology with a special interest in the treatment of bladder and prostate cancers. She graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2009 with a degree in medicine and completed her general medical training in Northern Ireland before undertaking specialist oncology training at The Christie Hospital and Rosemere Cancer Centre in the North West of England. Dr. Song was awarded a research doctorate (MD) for her work focusing on the optimisation of radiotherapy in bladder cancer. Her research achievements have been recognised internationally: in 2019, she received the Conquer Cancer Foundation Merit Award at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Genitourinary Cancers Symposium, as well as a bursary from the Royal College of Radiologists to attend the prestigious ECCO-AACR-EORTC-ESMO Workshop on Methods in Clinical Cancer Research. Appointed as a Consultant at The Christie in 2020, Dr. Song has developed a clinical practice centred on the management of urological cancers, particularly bladder and prostate cancer. She is actively involved in clinical research and serves as Principal Investigator for a number of clinical trials involving both systemic treatments and radiotherapy in urological oncology. Alongside her clinical and research roles, Dr. Song is committed to medical education. She is a clinical and educational supervisor for clinical oncology specialist trainees in the North West of England, contributing to the development of future oncologists.
