A/Prof Vipul Aggarwal is an interventional gastroenterologist based in Canberra, ACT.

In 2014, he relocated to Canberra to establish and expand interventional endoscopy services in the ACT region. He joined Canberra Hospital and began consulting at Canberra Gastroenterology. Since 2015, he has held the position of Director of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit in The Canberra Hospital.
He consults at locations in Deakin and performs procedures at various Endoscopy Centres and Hospitals including Calvary Private Hospital, Canberra Hospital, National Capital Hospital etc.
He is a member of both the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
His clinical work focuses on the prevention, early detection and treatment of gastrointestinal and pancreato-biliary cancers. He performs procedures including colonoscopy for bowel cancer screening and polypectomy, endoscopic mucosal resection of large polyps, gastroscopy for Barrett’s oesophagus, oesophageal cancer, dysphagia and variceal banding, capsule endoscopy for obscure gastrointestinal bleeding, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS), and oesophageal, duodenal and colonic stenting. He also provides haemorrhoid treatment.
