About Dr Vineet Prakash
Dr. Vineet Prakash is a highly skilled Consultant Radiologist with a career in both oncological and non-oncological imaging. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Leeds Medical School, Dr. Prakash pursued his medical training at University College London Hospital, where he developed a strong foundation in radiology and imaging techniques. Dr. Prakash has significant expertise in interpreting PET-CT scans, a specialisation he has been dedicated to since 2004. His primary areas of focus include prostate cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, head and neck cancer, and lymphoma, making him a trusted expert in oncological imaging. Additionally, he has extensive experience in general nuclear medicine imaging, including MUGA scans, renal scintigraphy, bone scans, DaTSCANS, HIDA scans, and SeHCAT examinations. Currently, Dr. Prakash practises at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, where he provides expert diagnostic services and consultations. He is a member of the council of the British Nuclear Medicine Society. Dr. Prakash is also actively involved in research and education, contributing to the development of innovative imaging techniques and mentoring the next generation of radiologists. Dr. Prakash’s clinical interests include molecular imaging with PET-CT and nuclear medicine, cardiac imaging with CT coronary angiography, and cross-sectional oncological imaging using CT and MRI. His dedication to precision and patient-centred care ensures that he delivers accurate diagnoses and high-quality imaging services.
