About
Mrs Teresa Browne is an experienced Audiologist with over 25 years of clinical practice. Originally from County Tyrone, she began her audiology training at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast before continuing her studies at the University of Ulster. In 2001, she graduated with a BSc in Physiology with a focus on audiology.
During her time at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Teresa established a Direct Access to Audiology Clinic, an innovative service model for which she received an award in recognition of its impact on patient care. She has also contributed to the profession through education, serving as a Senior Lecturer on the BAAT audiology course.
In 2007, Teresa relocated to Galway to take up a Consultant post with HSE West. In this role, she provided comprehensive audiological services, carrying out hearing assessments for children of all ages as well as adults, and testing and fitting hearing aids for adult patients.
In 2013, she completed an MSc in Advanced Audiology. As part of her postgraduate training, she conducted research that has been published in the Irish Medical Journal, further contributing to evidence-based audiology practice.
In 2019, Teresa moved into a full-time position at Galway Hearing Care, where she continues to provide high-quality, patient-centred audiology services across the lifespan.
