Dr Bradford completed his Bachelor of Medicine (BMed) at the University of Newcastle, followed by a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG). His Integrated Training Program (ITP) was in Queensland, followed by fellowship training in Canberra, where he served as Senior Registrar at Calvary Bruce, with cover to Canberra Hospital, gaining extensive experience in high-risk obstetrics and advanced gynaecological surgery. and IVF, working closely with Fertility Tasmania to provide individualised reproductive care. His expertise in laparoscopic and robotic surgery allows him to offer minimally invasive solutions for endometriosis, fibroids, and other gynaecological conditions.
Before studying medicine, Dr Bradford trained as a registered nurse at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, completing his Certificate in General Nursing before furthering his studies with a Bachelor of Nursing (BNurs) at Griffith University. His nursing background has shaped his patient-focused approach, ensuring compassionate, hands-on care for his patients.
Dr Bradford is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and an active member of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery Society (AGES) and the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA). In addition to his clinical work, he serves on the executive committee of NASOG, where he helps influence government policy to ensure the viability of private obstetric care in Australia. His advocacy work plays a crucial role in protecting access to high-quality private maternity services.
Outside of medicine, sailing has been a lifelong passion. He has competed internationally in the 470 class, tackled the 2014 Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, and more recently has been racing in the Sabre class dinghy. When he’s not on the water or in the operating theatre, he enjoys time with his wife Karyn, whom he has been married to for over 25 years, and their three daughters, who keep life busy and entertaining.
