About Mr Stephen Ball
Mr Stephen Ball is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon based at the Manchester Royal Infirmary, part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust—one of the largest vascular centres in the country. He completed a PhD at the University of Manchester, focusing on carotid artery disease and its role in stroke prevention. He remains actively involved in research, contributing to ongoing advancements in vascular medicine. Mr Ball’s clinical practice covers the full spectrum of vascular care. This includes open and endovascular (stent-based) repair of aortic aneurysms, bypass surgery for peripheral arterial disease, and carotid artery surgery. He also has a particular interest in minimally invasive treatments for varicose veins and has established a community-based NHS service to improve access to these treatments. Alongside his clinical and research work, he is committed to medical education. He holds a postgraduate certificate in medical education and has undertaken further training in digital healthcare innovation through a course at Imperial College London. His approach to patient care is highly personalised, focusing on clear communication and tailored treatment plans to achieve the best possible outcomes and patient experience.
