She undertook postgraduate specialist cardiology training in Athens, completing her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Cardiology in 2013.
Since joining Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Metaxa has played a key role in developing the Heart Failure Service and the Stress Echocardiography programme. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and is actively involved in medical education, including teaching medical students, mentoring junior doctors, and supervising cardiology trainees.
