About Mr Simon Brittz
Mr. Simon Brittz is a highly experienced Counselling Psychologist with dual professional registration in both the United Kingdom and South Africa. With 22 years of psychotherapeutic experience, he has dedicated his career to helping individuals and couples achieve mental and emotional well-being. He completed his Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology at The University of Pretoria in South Africa in 1999, and since then, he has accumulated an impressive record of over 18,000 hours of psychotherapy. Mr. Brittz served as the Clinical Supervisor at the Life Riverfield Lodge Rehabilitation Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa, immediately after his graduation in 1999. He later ran a Private Practice in Durban, South Africa, until June 2020 when he relocated to London with his family. His therapeutic approach is grounded in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCBT), which emphasises the importance of mindfulness practices combined with cognitive-behavioural techniques. He also incorporates elements from Buddhist Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Transactional Analysis into his work. As a therapist, Mr. Brittz is known for his active and direct style, actively participating in each session.
