Dr Sheena Kumar

Dr Kumar specialises in treating helping highly driven people who are being held back by pressure and worry. She commonly treats, anxiety, panic attacks, health anxiety, sleep problems, OCD, racing thoughts, low mood, low self esteem and relationships difficulties.  Over the 17 years of her career, she has found that being able to help people stop spirling, reduce their racing thoughts, and have relief from the weight of stress and anxiety is the most rewarding part of her job. She has a fresh and dynamic approach to psychotherapy whilst still using evidence-based practices. Dr Sheena Kumar is an experienced, HCPC-registered and chartered Counselling Psychologist based in London but has a high rate of international patients in her online clinic. She has over 17 years of experience working in both the NHS and private sector, now working exclusively across the private sector where she provides psychological therapy and coaching. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at London South Bank University, followed by her Doctor of Psychology degree in Counselling Psychology at City, University of London. She is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society in Counselling Psychology. She is trained in many different therapies and coaching techniques including the following: • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) • Mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy (MBCT) • Compassion-focused therapy • Family systems • Solution focused brief therapy • Person centred therapy • Integrative psychotherapy • Couples therapy • Coaching Psychology Dr Kumar also has specialist expertise in screening and assessment for adult ADHD.
