About Mr Shahnawaz Khan
Mr. Shahnawaz Khan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the management of hip and knee conditions. He is the Lead Surgeon for Hip and Knee Revision Surgery at North Middlesex Hospital, where he treats a wide range of joint disorders, including arthritis, ligament injuries, and complex reconstruction cases. His specialist interests include primary and revision hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, sports-related knee injuries, arthroscopy, meniscal repair, ligament reconstruction, and knee preservation procedures such as osteotomy and patella-femoral realignment. Mr. Khan graduated in Medicine from Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ Medical School, University of London, in 2008, having also completed a BSc in Human Physiology with Upper Second Class Honours. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012 and later completed a Master’s in Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford. His advanced orthopaedic training was undertaken on the prestigious Stanmore programme, with further subspecialty fellowships at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. He has published and presented widely on joint reconstruction and surgical innovation. A member of the British Hip Society, Mr. Khan is also committed to surgical education and is known for his clear communication and patient-centred approach.
