About Dr Sean Woon Sam
Dr Sean Woon Sam is a general dental practitioner who works at Argo Dental Clinic in Shrewsbury. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago he moved to England to obtain his dentistry degree in 2011 and subsequently qualified in 2016 from the University of Sheffield. He received the John Gilmour Award for Excellence in Dental Practice in recognition of outstanding work carried out during 2016-2017. Dr Woon Sam has experience in both private and NHS settings and enjoys treating patients of all complexity and need, especially patients who have taken the brave steps to visit a dental practice after many years. He has a special interest in periodontics and gum disease, and provides treatments for this that are available both within the NHS and privately. Visiting a dentist is not a particularly fun experience and can be quite scary but Dr Woon Sam employs a patient-centred approach to care and treatment to help create an environment as welcoming as possible and put patients at ease.
