Dr. Satveer Mahil is a Consultant Dermatologist at St John's Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and a Reader at King's College London. She earned her medical degree from the University of Cambridge and completed integrated academic training in Dermatology at St John's Institute of Dermatology. During her MRC-funded PhD, Dr. Mahil utilised genetic information to gain novel insights into the mechanistic basis of different forms of psoriasis and to define new therapeutic targets.
After the completion of her PhD, she was awarded an MRC Clinical Academic Research Partnership Award and currently holds an NIHR Advanced Fellowship. Her translational research aims to optimise outcomes for individuals with inflammatory skin diseases, including psoriasis and eczema. Additionally, Dr. Mahil serves as the director of St John's DermAcademy, a dermatology education academy.
