Dr Sarah O'Reilly-Harbidge is a highly experienced Australian trained Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Melbourne. With a special interest in hip and knee surgery, as well as Orthopaedic Oncology, Dr O'Reilly-Harbidge's skills extend to arthroplasty, oncological and trauma surgery. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Newcastle in 2007, before undergoing comprehensive postgraduate orthopaedic training across several hospitals in New South Wales, including both metropolitan and regional areas, under the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) Training Scheme.
Following her training, Dr O'Reilly-Harbidge earned a Commonwealth Fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London UK, where she completed further subspecialty fellowships in complex arthroplasty, limb salvage and tumour surgery. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS Orth) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA).
Dr O'Reilly-Harbidge is an advocate for women in orthopaedics, having been selected by her peers to represent them as the Orthopaedic Women's Link Representative at the Australian Orthopaedic Registrars’ Association. She is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association (ANZSA), the International Society of Limb Salvage (ISOLS), the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (RCSEd).
Dr O'Reilly-Harbidge is also a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Trauma Society, and regularly presents at conferences. She is known for her expertise in adult and paediatric trauma care, robotic joint replacement, and orthopaedic oncology.
