About
Mr Patel graduated from the University of Manchester Medical School in 2001 and completed his surgical training in Manchester and Nottingham. He pursued research at King’s College London, earning an MD(Res) for his work. His dedication to vascular and endovascular surgery led him to achieve Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) in 2014. Subsequently, he undertook a specialised Lower Limb Fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, honing his skills in minimally invasive treatments for vascular conditions.
In 2014, he was appointed Consultant Vascular and Endovascular surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, where he currently serves as Lead for Education and Training. He holds the position of clinical lead at St Thomas’s Hospital for lower limb and diabetes, emphasising his expertise in these areas.
Mr Patel has made significant contributions to vascular surgery literature, particularly in revascularisation techniques aimed at reducing amputation rates. He has co-founded the UK Vein Clinic, which focuses exclusively on varicose vein treatments using state-of-the-art minimally invasive methods. Patients can access his services at clinics located in London's Harley Street, Maidenhead in Berkshire, and central Manchester, where he and his team strive to achieve world-class outcomes for their patients.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
