About Miss Sahar Parvizi
Miss Sahar Parvizi is a general ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon with a subspecialist interest in paediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. She has extensive experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, from dry, watery and itchy eyes to more complex issues such as swollen optic discs. Miss Parvizi graduated in medicine from the University of Oxford and went on to complete her ophthalmology training in London. Her advanced subspecialty fellowships in paediatric ophthalmology were undertaken at two of the world’s leading centres, Moorfields Eye Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. This exceptional training has equipped her to manage eye conditions in both children and adults, from newborn to older age. With more than 1,000 cataract operations performed, Miss Parvizi is a highly experienced cataract surgeon known for her meticulous technique and commitment to excellent visual outcomes. Since May 2020, she has served patients within Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH), where she is recognised for her patient-centred, outcome-focused approach. Alongside her clinical work, Miss Parvizi is actively involved in medical education. She is a clinical and educational supervisor for ophthalmology trainees across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and frequently contributes to national and international meetings through presentations and ongoing professional development.
