Dr Roma Poplawski is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a specialist focus on gynaecology, fertility and early pregnancy care. She completed full specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Manchester, United Kingdom, and was awarded her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 2023. She subsequently relocated to Australia and currently works as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at King Edward Memorial Hospital, where she also holds the role of Early Pregnancy Lead.
Dr Poplawski’s clinical practice includes the assessment and management of early pregnancy complications, such as miscarriage, pregnancy of unknown location and ectopic pregnancy. She also has experience in subfertility and assisted reproduction, recurrent miscarriage, reproductive endocrinology and menopause care, including perimenopause and postmenopausal bleeding.
Her general gynaecology practice covers heavy menstrual bleeding and contraceptive management, including insertion of the levonorgestrel intrauterine system (Mirena) and endometrial ablation. She provides outpatient gynaecology procedures and diagnostic services, including hysteroscopy, colposcopy and large loop excision of the transformation zone (LLETZ), as well as operative hysteroscopy where indicated.
Dr Poplawski’s work integrates outpatient, procedural and surgical care, with management guided by current clinical evidence and national guidelines. Alongside her clinical role, she contributes to the ongoing development of early pregnancy services within her department.
