About Mr Rohit Verma
Rohit is a consultant ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeon based at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust, where he is the Deputy Divisional Governance Lead and a Trust anti-bullying champion. He is also the Clinical Lead for ENT and has an additional role of supervisor for foundation doctors. Furthermore, he works with the Cleft Palate Team in Nottingham and regularly provides combined airway assessments with the respiratory team at Sheffield Children's Hospital. He specialises in the following areas: • ear surgery • airway disorders • Discharging ears • Hearing and balance problems • Hearing implants • Prominent ear correction (pinnaplasty) • Sleep Apnoea • Tongue Tie • Noisy Breathing Mr Verma gained his medical degree (MB BS) from the University of Cambridge before training in London and Manchester. During this time, he undertook a fellowship at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital focusing on complex ear diseases, hearing implants, and airway problems. He then spent two years as a fellow of Harvard Medical School at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he completed doctoral research in advanced hearing implant technology. During this time, he worked alongside renowned surgeons from all across the world.
