About Mr Rishi Sharma
Mr Rishi Sharma is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Anterior Skull-Base Surgeon based in Cambridge. His NHS practice is at Addenbrooke's Hospital and he sees private patients Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital. Mr Sharma completed his medical degree at the University of Oxford in 2006 and completed his postgraduate training in top teaching hospitals in London and East Anglia including St George's Hospital, The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital and Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital. Following his training, he completed two prestigious fellowships in Glasgow and Vancouver, Canada where he completed a fellowship accredited by the American Rhinology Society. Mr Sharma has clinical expertise in all types of sinus and nasal conditions in both adults and children. He also manages general ENT conditions as well as complex sino-nasal conditions. He also has expertise in the surgical treatment and management of these conditions, including functional endoscopic sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, septoplasty, functional septorhinoplasty, sino-nasal tumour surgery, nasal polypectomy, nose bleeds, CSF leak repairs and endoscopic skull-base surgery. A large proportion of his practice focuses on revision sinus surgery and expanded approach sinus surgery for the difficult to treat sinus patient who may have failed with more conservative surgical approaches. He also has research interests in novel surgical techniques and medical therapies for the treatment of sinus disease. He has published several peer-reviewed papers and authored numerous textbook chapters in his field of expertise.
